Replace HDD
OK, I know, I should have installed bigger HDs when I built my
desktop. I have physical HD "C" with Win98 FAT32 and physical HD "D" with WinXP NTFS as a dual boot setup. I want to replace "D" with a new larger drive. And I don't want to re-install WinXP or lose data, etc. I read something, somewhere about a method to clone HDs but I don't remember the details. And I have one of those external USB cases that will take a CD or HD that I got for my laptop. Would this work as a way to connect the new HD to my desktop while I do the clone procedure? Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks, jimbo |
