Default Copying music files to Memory Stick

Is it possible to copy a music CD's files to a Memory Stick?
If I Explore the CD I see the files are in .cda format and not .wav.
I don't use Nero, and don't want to purchase it just for this experiment.

Thanks...

.CDA is not really a format. It's just Window's way of telling you
it's CD-Audio.

There are zillions of free CD rippers out there. I think even Windows
Media Player can do it, although I'm not certain if it will rip to .WAV,
or only .WMA or similar lossy-compressed format.

One good one is Exact Audio Copy, which has special routines to try
and get a perfect copy.

Just be VERY careful about putting music CD's in a computer these
days. Some contain copy protection software that often installs
automatically, with NO warning given. Sony is in hot water due to a copy
protection routine that contained a 'rootkit' used to try and hide
elements of it, but could also be used by virus's, trojans, etc... to
hide themselves.
