Gigabyte and ATA 100
2 of my 3 hard drives are ATA-100 while the 3rd is ATA 133, my CD burner is
ATA 33, a standard thing I guess. I have master/slaved the Burner (samsung) and my boot drive, a Fujitsu 20g, MPG3204AH in the bios I can select AUTO detection of the cable (ATA33/66/100) It seems when I use a 80 pin cable, either the board or my burner don't like it. I have to leave it set to auto or manually select the ATA33 setting, otherwise when I boot it does not recognize my Hard Drive or burner, it will have all sorts of gibberish where is lists the make of the hard drive. I have noticed a setting on the hard drive for DASP The board is a Gigabyte GA-8PE667 which I have updated the latest bios. Any thoughts or expieriences would be appreciated! |
