Default X73 won't install

My X73 was working fine until I upgraded the Windows 2000 to Service
Pack
4. I had to re-install the X73 driver. It worked except the copy
function kept reporting a busy. Lexmark tells me it is another twain
device on my machine causing the busy. I have no other twain hardware
devices, although my Norton Fax program uses twain software to talk to
the
X73. I have un-installed and re-installed the X73 driver from the
Lexmark
Website, but the problem persists. Any ideas?

Hi,
I am replying to my own message. After numerous hours at my PC and on
the phone with Microsoft and Lexmark, everything tried failed except the
last thing which was to uninstall Service Pack 4 back to Service Pack 3.
The install of the Lexmark driver finally worked, and I can now do scans
and copies. Despite what Lexmark told me, I don't think they ever
checked
out Service Pack 4 on Windows 2000 Professional, with the X73 driver
written in Dec. 2001. I have put them on notice to check it now. I'm
curious if anyone else has had this problem. It is some incompatiblity
with the USB handling of the X73 with Service Pack 4.
