Default HP cp1700d printer

Having purchased the above printer in October last year my printing needs
have changed. I have spent several months communicating with HP but they
refuse to sell the Postscript software independently of a new printer
purchase. Any information about a source for this software would be much
appreciated. Additionally would the Adobe Postscript RIP 3 be compatible
with the cp1700d.

Alan
