upgrade question
The fastest cpu that motherboard was ever offered with was the 1300 Mhz
Athlon. The fastest Thunderbird cpu that was made was the 1400 Mhz, so at best, that is what may work in the machine. P13 is the latest bios for that board. "j.lef" wrote in message ... Hello to all Can someone answer this question, because the good folks at gateway, refuse to answer the following question. I have a select 1200, with what their web site says is a jabil motheroard. Part # 2512600. Bios in cmos says oaavwp13. What I wanted to know, was what the limit was on this board and bios for the cpu. How large of one could I put in their, what size hard drive could I use. The board says ms6330 and it looks like the msik7tturbo2. Gateway has a bios update on their site for my motherboard but does not say what for if you have the oaavwp13. I would appreciate help in answering these questions. Much thanks. Jerry |
