Celeron powersupply

I am planning to upgrade a Pentium II 400 computer. I want to install a new
motherboard, Celeron 2.0 with 400 FSB, and PC-2100 memory. The current
powersupply does not have the extra power plug for the P4 chip. Is this
extra plug necessary when using a Celeron?

What is your PSU rated at in Watts? Why Celeron? P4 cpu's have really
come down in price.

It is possibly to buy, "attempt" to use an adapter that provides the
ATX12V 4-pin plug, and in cases of low-speed processors it's
"possible" to run them without the adapter, by only the single 12V
lead on the primary ATX motherboard connector. However, neither of
these is the best solution, and you might find that your current power
supply is inadequate to provide sufficient power on it's 12V rail
regardless of how that power is delivered.

In other words, it would be advised to replace the power supply too.
Perhaps something in a 330W+ Sparkle or Antec.
