Ain't it a SHOCK ???? I don't think so.

FWIW, I was in Sam's Club earlier today and saw Ultimate for about
$238.00 (Texas) but I think I saw it on line cheaper ... maybe $200
I'd like to say.

Are those Texas dollars? Are they bigger or smaller than US dollars?

The copy you saw at Sam's was a retail upgrade copy.

The copy you saw online was an OEM full-version copy.

There are some significant differences.

Come on Ben, everything in Texas is bigger grin.

Seriously, I was just trying to give reference to which Sam's Club I
was in; I don't know if their pricing is the same from state to state.
Actually I'm not even sure if their pricing is the same city to city.

Barry, you might be right as I didn't really pay much attention
because I don't have any desire to seriously go to Vista at this time.
Right now, I'm more curious about Vista than anything else. That's
why I'm not going to buy it now. I only mentioned the pricing for
other's benefits in case they might want to buy it. Sounds like you
are more informed about Vista pricing than myself. Thanks.

No thank you. Not worth the price in my opinion for the sake of
curiousity. I can wait or I will wait, my guess is for at least 6
months or more.

Good suggestion tho about the dual boot. That would be my second
choice in my case now. Many years ago, I did just that. thanks.

Be aware that there are some potentially serious conflicts if you dual
boot XP and Vista. XP's snapvol.sys destroys some of Vista's data
structures associated with system restore and drive backup. If you
don't need those, fine, but for many people it's a serious problem.

Are you sure that problem still exists?
