No, it's some other problem. However, some have reported that SP2 screwed up their USB, so it that's the external's interface, you might need to look into that angle (offhand I have no suggestions, you didn't mention the hardware and this is a hardware group). |

What model Toshiba Satellite is it? |

I’m downloading service pack 4 and have just finished partitioning the drive. I grow weary and fear if this doesn’t work I may commit hara krishna (sp?) |

Like a nagging wife, Because I’m not sure how old the laptop is I would make one of the partitions, I don’t know, say 40G...Just to rule out any chance that the BIOS can’t read 100G either? If you installed SP2 over the top of a lot of software utilities it’s not impossible for things not to be perfect? |

Also, he told me to try changing a setting in hardware, device manager, Universal serial bus controllers; Power management: uncheck box(es) allowing for power to be shut off on a port....no luck. Nothing I am finding in the BIOS screens pertains to this problem. I am open to any and all suggestions! The 80gb I have been using for awhile works fine, the 320gb (by the same compant just won’t stay recognized after hybernation. |
