Default Front Panel connections -- Motherboard?

hi there

I'm currently installing a new motherboard in my old Cooler Master CAV
T-01 and there are two wires from the front panel that simply have "+"
and "-" on them. I've no idea where to connect them on the motherboard!
Can anyone help?

The motherboard has a block of pins that looks like this:

PDG PDY PW+ GND SLP GND NC* VCC CI
HD+ HD- GND RST VCC IRRX GND IRTX GND

Plus another tiny white block very near the above with two pins sticking
out but no writing or anything by it to indicate what it's for....

Yes, of course it wouldn't until you download the PDF manual and read
it for matching case leads to your Jetway motherboard. Hope that
helps.

They're probably for connecting to the Power LED pins on the motherboard.
Once you've read the manual for your motherboard it should become clearer.
Check the illustration for the jumper block that will indicate which pin is
+.

I agree with the others that a manual should be illuminating. Barring
that, though, you can probably trace the wires to their opposite ends
and get some idea where they connect.

The 4 most common pairs of front panel leads seems to be: POWER and
RESET, neither of which need be polarized, and POWER-LED and HDD-LED
which are both polarized. So that probably means your leads are either
for POWER-LED or HDD-LED.

Additionally, I suspect POWER-LED would be more common than HDD-LED, so
it's likely to be, as Jan has remarked, the POWER-LED leads. What sort
of lights are on the front of your case? What case do you have?
