RAID0 with 2 scsi and 2 sata
HARDWA
P4P800 Deluxe mobo 1 Fujitsu 18GB SCSI Drive - OS 1 Quantum 68GB SCSI Drive - Linux/Storage 2 Western Digital 120GB SATA Drive - Storage BIOS 1016 here's the situation, i was able to setup raid0 on the 2 wd sata drives and winxp on the fujitsu. but since i have Serial ATA BOOTROM set to enabled in the bios (which was the only way i could install the os), i am not able to install all the os files on the fujitsu. some files are on the first partition of the raid0 volume (like boot.ini, the wutemp folder and some other files i can't remember) and booting up takes way longer than usual. i know i'm being picky but is there anyway that i can setup my system to have all os information on the fujitsu? or does booting take a little longer with raid0. any suggestion would be wikked. thanks |
