How to change Disk Serial Number?
I have been struggling to get my Quick Restore disks to "restore" my Compaq
Presarrio 7478 replacement hard drive. A friend tells me that the QR program looks for the correct disk serial number. Is there a way to change the serial number of a hard disk? A friend tells me that the QR program looks for specific serial number to allow the system Quick Restore CDs function, Thanks! Steve
