GeForce 6800GA @ 61C , time to worry???
Mine (6800GS BFG AGP) has idled at 55C since the day I installed it (about 2
years ago). Some cases just don't move the air as well as others. Also under heavy game play it will peak up to about 85C. Just keep it clean regularily and you will have no problems... It could idle at 70C for all I care. The important number is the load
temperature. Run the strip chart in Rivatuner in the background while playing an intense game to get a temperature plot. Anything below 90C is acceptable for load temperature. -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. Mine went up to 90C before I cleaned out my case, and 61C wouldn't worry me at all. |
