I have plenty of evidence to prove that installing
the Adaptec ASPI into Me can wind up killing the OS

the ASPI layer should not be installed in WinMe.

I've had to recover a W2K machine where ASPI had been used.
Likewise a WinMe machine.

The cause was definitely the ASPI layer.
========================

The above is an Adaptec/Roxio's aspi scare tactic (on WinME) -- FRAUD in
my book -- to monopolize the burn software market.

Most burn softwares require aspi to function. But it so happens that
Easy CD Cremator 4.02+ *supposedly* do *not* use aspi. Now with aspi
*supposedly* killing WinME, that means practically only Easy CD
Cremator works on WinME, thus monopolizing the burn software market.
