Default Quick Question

Hello,
Can you use a EIDE Harddrive in boards (Ie: ASUS A7V8X-X deluxe) that use
Serial ATA. I know this probably a dumb question since I know there are two
IDE contollers on there; however, I am just double checking.

Yes I know that is why you get these boards, but I am just checking for a
short term fix til I get the SATA drives.

Thank you for your help,
T

The chipsets natively support "normal" ATA drives and the appropriate
connecters are almost certainly going to be on the board.

No major reason to go out and get SATA drives to replace your current ones.
Most of the drives offer no performance advantage over the equivalent ATA
drive.

I'm not just a number. To many, I'm known as a String...
