Default Bad LTO-2 media

Hey all,

I have an Overland Neo 4200 with 6 LTO-2 drives. In the span of a
couple of days, a two of the drives have failed with the symptom that
the media cannot unload (either through the software, which is
Bakbone, the front panel of the library, or through manual depression
of the drives' eject buttons).

I'm skeptical that we have two brand new LTO-2 drives fail in such a
short time, esp. given that they haven't even been used yet.

With the remaining drives, we can load the tapes and use them with
NetVault, but a few of them come up in NetVault as bad media.

So, I've never seen the "stuck tape" problem with LTO-2, and also,
I've never seen problems with bad LTO-2 media. The media we're using
are Fuji film.

Has anyone here ever had a batch of bad LTO-2 media, and if so, what
brand?

Thanks,
--paul

Fuji has always had great prices & we've used Fuji in the past
when we had to compete pricewise in the dirt BUT it was never the best
lately Overland has been pricing their media very competitivly &
the Imation LTO-2 media (our best priced media) has been giving
us NO problems either
