Added PCI USB2 card, problems with recognizing USB2 harddrive
I added a Trust PCI USB 2.0 card (based on VIA chip) to my PC. The PC
already has a 2-port USB 1.1 on the mainboard. When I connect my new USB2 harddrive (Freecom Classic) it only works in FullSpeed, not HiSpeed. In the Device Manager it is "connected" to a "standard" USB Root Hub. In the device manager I see 4 VIA Universal PCI to USB Host Controllers each with their own USB Root Hub under it. Also there is a Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller with a USB 2.0 Root Hub under it, but the harddrive will not connect to the USB 2.0 Root Hub, which I think it should to work under Hi Speed. Any suggestions? |
