Default Long term storage of Epson R220

I have a R220 that works fine [still has ink in the cartridges] but will be
unused for at least 6 months. What is the "best" way to store this so the
head "might" remain useable?
Thanks.

Place printer in plastic trash bag. Place moist sponge in bag (not in the
printer). Expel as much air as possible and tie bag with a twist tie. Store
in a dark cool place.
Additionally, if you can, get a hold of or make cleaning cartridges and
replace regular cartridges with them. Run several cleaning cycles after
installing the cartridges to remove as much ink as possible from the head
with the head cleaning fluid.
A lot of this is conditional to the climate you live. The more humid the
climate the better your Epson will fair.

I have seen these types of R series printers go unused for that long
without a problem. But nothing is a sure thing in this regard.

I'm on Windward Oahu [with no dehumidifier].

Thank you.
