ATI working with MS on 3rd-gen Xbox ?
even before Xbox 360's rollout later this November, could Microsoft and ATI already be planning the development of the 3rd-generation of Xbox? which will not be seen until the turn of the decade, in 2010 or there about. the graphics technology that will power the future-gen Xbox (which will replace Xbox360) does not even exist yet, not even on paper, but in the minds of ATI and MS graphics architects. MS will want to stay with ATI for many reasons, including full backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games. I'm looking forward to my new Xbox 360 and games - but at the same time, I'm hoping Microsoft and its partners make something absolutely knock-out for the next-next gen of gaming. |
