is computer memory effects on speed?

can size of of ram change the speed of computers.
many software's work on 1GB ram.Is there any problem if we run them on
small ram.......yes, it'll create problem..but do not worry this
problem will solve just after upgrade computer memory

In general, yes it does. Adding more RAM memory
speeds up your PC.
