Backup Exec 9 and Media Sets
I run Veritas Backup Exec 9.0 attached to a Compaq MSL5026 Media
Library with 2 SDLT 110/220 tape drives. I have a media set created called Monthly which is used for full weekly backups of my servers. My problem is that say I have two tapes, both which have 50gb of space free. The backup starts and uses the first tape, and then when this is full, should then take the other tape to finish the backup. Instead what is happening is that the backup asks for a scratch media. I have verified that 1. The "Media Overwrite Protection level" is set to "Partial" in the ToolsOptionsMedia management 2. The "Overwrite protection period" in the Media properties is not set to "Infinite-don't allow overwrite" Any ideas please? Konrad |
