memory query
I want a cheapish upgrade for my PC. I have a single Kingston Value 512 MB
Dimm and want to know how much of a match must i have to be able to use dual channel access. would another kingston dimm of the same spec do it or do i need a matched pair. TIA Robin |

You just need something that has the same params as what you have now. It doesn't even have to be the same brand. It just so happens I just upgraded my brothers MB/cpu/ram and I've got a 512M stick of Kingston KVR400/512R that he bought last year. I was going to put it on ebay along with the other stuff.
