Default Wireless Adapter for Desktop: USB or PCI?

I'm interested in adding a wireless adapter to a desktop pc and was
wondering if there were any performance or reliability differences
between a USB and PCI adapter?

Thanks.

None that I've noticed. I've tried both, and both work fine. -Dave

THere's a massive difference in signal. PCI ones offer the best.

Drivers make all the difference in the world. I have never had a good
USB-Ethernet adapter. I have a Linksys PCI adapter, and the drivers choke when
the computer goes to standby or Hibernate in a power outage.
