Default Hiding partitions [Or otherwise having partitions NOT appear in My Computer)

Hi. You can hide partitions. AFAIK, this is cosmetic, inasmuch as the PC
can access hidden partitions and files in hidden partitions. It's just that
the user of the PC cannot see them.

Okay, now I've got BootMagic installed in the first 50Mb of my HDD. It's N:
I want this partition to be hidden. I hide it with PartionMagic, which calls
for a reboot. PC reboots and I see the BootMagic window. P.M. hides N:. Then
PC boot again and once more I see the BootMagic window. But then
(unexpectedly) I see PM doing something. This must be reversing the hiding.
Because when Windows finally comes up, lo-and-behold N: is seen in My
Computer. And it is the 50Mb partition. So, P.M did not hide N:

Any idea if I can ever hide N:? Or otherwise not appear in My Computer?

Is hidding a partition in PartionMagic, the same as setting drive letter to
"NONE" in Windows Disk Management?

Unless you indicate at some point to PM where is (are) your copy(ies) of the
registry (System hive), I guess no (for basic MBR disks, that is, the common
case.)

Try Microsoft's Tweak UI Powertoy. In its My Computer section,
uncheck the letter you want hidden.
