Single-processor performance
Hi.
I have not been paying attention to processors recently. What is currently the highest performing PC processor for single-thread programs. For instance, what is on top of SPEC CPU or SPEC FP ? From what I searched it seems to be the Intel Core 2 Duo E6850. CINT2006 CFP2006 ASUS P5K3 motherboard (Intel Core 2 Duo E6850) 20.2 18.7 What I would like to know is how much faster than an Opteron 270 it is.
