Default Fireball 15GB Lct 15 drive prob

Hi

Having a problem with the above.
Trying to install with a soltex sl-75frv mainboard. When powering up
the bios screen appears and the drive is identified correctly then the
system slows almost to a halt if I press delete to get to the setup I
have to wait 2 or three minutes for the screen to appear. I have tried
this drive in another system and it as the same effect in slowing it
down. I've tried setting as master/slave/cable select and still get
this problem can anyone advise.

Don't know if it helps, anyway I've found lot of LCT series of hd broken or
malfunctioning.
Not that kind of problem though.
