No offense taken, but I did discover this myself.
I couldn't find the help I needed to get out of my fix, so this is
what I came up with.

Another trick is to plug in an old ISA based video card in case the BIOS
is screwed.
I have heard people in this group say that the BIOS contains a boot
block that doesn't get overwritten during a flash so that you could try to
recover.

Whether it's true or not, I don't know. I have recovered an old Trident
from the trash just in case. It's in a 486DX right now waiting to spring
into action
