Default Problem with my tuner TV board

Hi,
I've got a Medion PC with a Medion tuner TV MK2/3 board (Philips
Semi-Conductors).
Recently,I had to reinstall Windows XP from scratch. Since this
reinstallation, I have problems with my tuner TV board. Each time I
try to use it with PowerCinema, it asks to me to setup some parameters
and when I validate it and try to start the configuration (TV
programs), the PC crashes and restarts nearly without problems. After
the reboot, the sound doesn't work anymore. I have to suppress the
sound board (Avance AC'97) from the "Device Manager" (properties of
system), reinstall the driver of the sound board, reboot the PC.
Windows XP automatically detects the device and the sound is up again,
but the tuner TV board problem remains !!

Help would be appreciated.

I would uninstall this device from Add/remove hardware... once removed
then power down your computer... take it out and then reboot, install
the drivers, for the new device, and then install the tv board back
into the same pci slot. Reboot, and windows will detect. If this
does not work, then repeat all that in a different pci slot.

I had a problem similar to this, with an old 56k modem, that was
burning out, and everytime i tried to access it, it would reboot my
system. But I bought a new one, and its still working 1 year later
on.

Otherwise, it could be a simple hardware conflict. Try and see what
IRQ the device is using, and see if it is conflicting with anything
else in the system. Try even to update the drivers, if all fails,
then possibly you may need to get new tv board.
