Professional Workstation at W8000
I just read a message from an end user who successfully upgraded his Compaq
W8000 to dual 3.0 GHz Xeon processors. He says that he gets a BIOS error message at startup regarding the steppings on the CPU not matching what the BIOS wants to see, but after you go past that message everything works fine. Are there any known compatibility issues for the W8000 running at 3.0 GHz? Apparently the motherboard does support that specification, but the BIOS does not. -- Will westes AT earthbroadcast.com
