Default Chip Maker Rambus Loses Patent Case to Micron

Chip Maker Rambus Loses Patent Case to Micron:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/10/bu...ref=technology

From that link, quoting the judge:
Rambus's conduct 'obstructive at best, misleading at worst.'

Rambus usually wins these things on appeal. It would be interesting to
see if it still can win on appeal now that the Bush Administration is
nearly history. (Good riddance.)

Judges are still the same, mostly appointed for life in the federal
system. So the gratuitous injection of politics was unwarranted.
Maroon.

At the risk of encouraging a YART (yet another Rambus thread) by
contemplating the possibility of actual content, I'll observe that the
Federal Trade Commission has been and may still be involved in this
dispute. I'm bored of the whole thing, and I have been for a long
time, but it probably isn't accurate to say that politics have nothing
to do with it.

Robert.
