Default Getting a hard drive for a Aptiva?

Hard drive's arrived and i've installed it. problem is, i only had one
spare screw. will this affect anything?

Installed windows 98, installed a better video driver (it defaulted to
640x480x16! Yuck!) and it runs like a charm. What seems odd is that it

Apparently the old owner's been doing some tinkering around inside it!

I'll have to install windows 2000 at some point, i guess.

How did you decide its got a duron ? The 2137 could have the AMD K6.

Its more likely what is reporting the Duron is getting confused.

What does Everest say about the cpu ?

Don't get your expectations TOO high ... my neighbor's has been a solid,
reliable machine until I helped her retire it recently, but it is
definitely slow by current standards. She replaced it with a $200
Lenovo desktop machine based on the Atom processor (not especially known
for speed), and the difference is amazing.
