Default What to fix on my hp 8000?

Today, my HP 8000 stopped talking to the network. There may have been
an error message. But, I don't know what it was.

How do I figure out the problem?

When I look at the JetDirect card, I see the lights for 10BaseT and
100BaseT communication lit. But, there is no JetDirect menu available
in the printer's menu system. Nor does "print configuration" show the
IP address or its Appletalk name.

Any ideas on how I can get started?

To complicate things, I use a Mac. So, it's challenging to connect to
it via the parallel or serial port.

Thanks,

Gary
