Default Computer keeps rebooting?

Hello.
This is the best section I could find to post this topic in, so sorry if it
isn't exactly on topic.
Anyways,
One of my computers (Lets call it computer 1) keeps on randomly
restarting. I could be playing a game, browsing the internet, or not even at
the computer, and it just shuts down and reboots every once in a while.
Seomtimes, while rebooting, it reboots. Does anyone know why?
The computer was rock stable until a while ago; one of my other computers
(We'll call it computer 2) motherboards crashed, so we put computer 2's
graphics chip into computer 1. Thats when the problem started. We figured
that the computer 1 was too old, and couldnt' handle it, so we changed back,
but the problem still presists. All the drivers, ect from the better card are
deleted.

Can anyone help me out here? Whats wrong?

Over-heating is a common reason for 'spontaneous' reboots..
Perhaps your GPU or even the machine(s) suffer from too high
temperatures. There are lots of reasons why that could happen.
To check whether this is the problem, download a freeware temperature
display. (just search google) This can tell you the temperature for your
process, inside the case and the temperature for the GPU. You can check
GPU temperature locally on the machine as well with some setups - via
the graphics card drivers I think.
Max temperatures vary between configurations and components. However if
the GPU is over 60 C, this is not good.

Also, there is a small risk that you could have a virus. Run a check
with the latest antivirus patch. (or do a free one online, like Panda or
Housecall)

I would give very careful consideration to the power supply. Your
problem is truly symptomatic of an inadequate power supply.

That was my first thought. What graphics card did you plug in? Can you put
the old one back in to test?

If extra cooling helps (remove the case cover, and, if possible, blow
air into it with a big fan), then the PSU may have become marginal
because of bad electrolytic capacitors (see www.badcaps.net). I'd try
another PSU, making sure that it's a high quality one and not some
cheapo, but if that doesn't improve things, the mobo's capacitors may
be bad, especially those next to the donut coils.
