Default Just rip, label, sort and burn

I am trying to make up some private compilations from commercial CDs, but
also MDs (from line-in). All I want to do is rip some tracks to disk, change
the play sequence until I like the sound of it, and then write out to CDs.

I have tried WMP-9 and Jukebox Plus, but they insist on calling every track
"Unknown Artist - track 09", or something similar, and never let me tell
them what the real title is.

Is there something simple out there that will let me just rip, label, sort &
burn?

Thanks for ideas,
hwebster.
