Default flickering on monitor

Good point, as I've suffered from this in the past, too.

I can see a bit of flickering.
I've played with various rates but no joy.

Pretty sure the drivers are right.

anybody know if bios settings will help???

Could be interference from a transformer in some adjacent piece
of equipment such as PC speakers (I have suffered this).
Try unplugging (not just switching off) all AC-powered devices
apart from your PC and monitor to see if this removes the symptom.
My so-called shielded speakers were causing a faint flicker on
one side of the screen.

Murray.

I have occasional problems similar to this with a G400Max under Win2K. I
change the refresh rate but the monitor settings still report something lame
like 60Hz. I've found that setting the desired refresh rate and then
rebooting fixes it - when it comes back up, the set refresh is active (90Hz
in my case).

I don't think it's either Matrox or monitor specific as I get the same
problems with my laptop docking station (ATi chipset) with a different
monitor. The only thing common between the systems is Win2K.

YMMV, good luck.

Cheers,

James
