Default Stupid Power Supply Question

Hi,

I am building a new computer, IS7 - 2.4C ...its been a while.

I have a brand new P4 power supply with the main power connector and the
seperate 4 prong plug.

My old PSU doesn't have the 4 pronger.

My question is:

Do I plug BOTH power connectors into the mother board?

Sounds stupid but I wouldn't want to burn the fricken thing up before it
even booted.

TIA
