Default Advice needed on uninstall GeForce4 Ti4200

Nosed around the web and there seems to be different views on how to
completely uninstall this card, warts 'n' all!
Can anyone give me the definitive view on how to uninstall with WindowsXp
Pro.
Many thanks
Martin

Run over it with your truck...

okay... Question, what are you doing?

Upgrading card to ATI?

1 - uninstall drivers (control panel)
2 - Run Detonator Destoryer (optional, recommended - google search it)
3 - Remove Ti4200 card
4 - install new ATI card
5 - Install Cat 3.10 drivers, 4.x are new - its up to you.
6 - Keep Ti4200 handy for 2nd PC or for backup or sell it for $50.

====

Upgrading to faster Nvidia?

NOTE: An fx upgrade requires at least an fx5700 Ultra (or better yet
the 5900-xt) or faster $200. Even the 5600Ultra is a minor upgrade
that you may not notice.

1 - Download and install latest Detonator Drivers from Nvidia.
2 - remove Ti4200 card
3 - Install new fx card (5700Ultra or highter)

Windows will detect new card, the Nvidia drivers will kick in. A
reboot will most likely be required. No need to uninstall drivers.

1. Remove the card
2. Uninstall the drivers
3. Use Detonator Destroyer

If you are installing a new nVidia card there is no need to uninstall

Look at www.guru3d.com for more info and tools

Good Luck,
Tal
