Default easy question (?)

Installed Logitech web cam and using Skypes. Question is "can I connect
with anybody or do I need to have the same software e.g. skypes, yahoo
messenger, live messenger.

It is an easy question :-)
To connect to anybody using Skype, then you both need Skype.
To connect to anybody using Yahoo Messenger, then you both need YM.
Same goes for MSN Messenger.
The type/brand of camera doesn't matter.

have a look into trillian....
im not sure if you can do what you want with it but it puts all im software
into one easy to manage package,,
they change the software often so maybe that has some cross im webcam
thingy..

Hi Slayer...good to see you again!
Forgot about Trillian...didn't realise it was still going. It seems that
it will work with video chat ,b only with MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger
and AIM. Not Skype. The other thing is you need the Pro version of it.
Looks like you have to buy it to video chat. Anyway Norvin, here is a
