Maxtor also happen to have by far the best warranty replacement
service so even if it *does* go wrong it's easy and quick to get it
replaced.

If the faulty one can still be read from you can even use the advanced
replacement service to get a replacement before shipping back the old
one, thus giving you the opportunity to copy your data.

It's Maxtor every time for me!


Yes me too, never had a faulty Maxtor, never had a faulty hard drive at all but
I'd be wanting to deal directly with Maxtor rather than any other company if I
did. Never heard anything but good results from dealings with their customer
service department.
