Do I need more than the cheapest?
Building a computer for a friend, and he wants a new webcam also.
(He's been using his old analog camcorder). I've never had a webcam, so I'm not up to date on those. I was looking probably at the logitech quickcam Pro 5000 or the Logitech 961410-0403 QuickCam Communicate STX. He will only be using this webcam (or so he says ;-) for Yahoo Messenger, so I'm wondering if I only need the cheapest webcam? Like I said, I haven't used webcams before, but I assume which software cam is bundled with is immaterial, since he'll be using Yahoo. Also, will 640x480 and/or higher resolution be wasted $$$$ because of only using Yahoo? Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks, Josh |

If he wants good quality, then get the pro 5000. Ask him if he wants good quality and is willing to pay the extra $$$.. |
