Do I need more than the cheapest?
Building a computer for a friend, and he wants a new webcam also.
(He's been using his old analog camcorder). I've never had a webcam, so I'm not up to date on those. I was looking probably at the logitech quickcam Pro 5000 or the Logitech 961410-0403 QuickCam Communicate STX. He will only be using this webcam (or so he says ;-) for Yahoo Messenger, so I'm wondering if I only need the cheapest webcam? Like I said, I haven't used webcams before, but I assume which software cam is bundled with is immaterial, since he'll be using Yahoo. Also, will 640x480 and/or higher resolution be wasted $$$$ because of only using Yahoo? Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks, Josh

If he wants good quality, then get the pro 5000. Ask him if he wants good quality and is willing to pay the extra $$$..
