The Antec TruePower New 650W was bought on 08 Oct, 2009!

Smoke came out of the power supply. When I removed it from the case,
some light yellow liquid came out. Fortunately, the motherboard was not
harmed.

So... what could that light yellow fluid be?

Capacitor electrolyte leaking out? What manufacturer is Antec getting
their PSUs made by these days?

.... Or was it a curse applied by someone with the Force while I was
waiting for the delivery of that power supply?

BTW, isn't electrolyte from a capacitor acidic? My skin was not burnt....

A more important question is why you chose to multipost (bad) your message

Evidence that Antec is ****ed because it's still under warranty?

Something an "over the shoulder" spare possibly won't have when the
occasion next arises. Power supplies are like a flat tire or dead
battery to an otherwise mechanically sound car. Something that's
going to happen, regardless a good value for a respected brand.
Yellow sounds much better than one I had "leaking" radiation
(adversely affecting a tape drive).
