First you would consider where the license for this software
is coming from.

The free upgrade still seems to work. You can upgrade from
Win7 to Win10, by doing an Upgrade Install (run Setup.exe off
the DVD, while Windows 7 is running).

You can also try typing the Windows 7 license key you're
already using on that machine, and do a clean install of Windows 10.
So if you owned Windows 7 Ultimate, that corresponds to a free
upgrade to Windows 10 Professional. Windows 7 Home Premium
would likely entitle you to a free upgrade to Win10 Home.

If you're buying a license, it's possible they will
provide media. But there aren't actually a lot of really
nice boxed products. Instead, Microsoft likes their
"buy a license key, scrounge for media" method. They
like that method, because typically a credit card is
involved, and they get your name, address, phone, email
and the like. (In other words, be careful how you
pay for it.)

The download Win10 ISO you can download for yourself
right now (no key needed), one version has 11 OS flavors on it,
the other version has 7 OS flavors on it. Win10 Home
and Win10 Pro are on there. Win10 Workstation is on there.
Stuff like that. You can download one of those discs,
and you will have more than one choice available to you.

32-bit versions of these OSes come on one ISO file.

64-bit versions come on a second ISO file. So
once you've decided on the right "bitness" for
the install, the ISO you download to make a
DVD with, will have 7+ OS flavors on it. And
likely has the right flavor to enable the Free Upgrade
to take place. Free upgrades exist for:

Win7 SP1 == Win10
Win8.1 == Win10

An Anytime Upgrade, can take you from:

Win10 Home -- Win10 Pro

but is not particularly economical, as you would expect.

A license key, works to activate a 32-bit OS
or a 64-bit OS. Thus, you have perfect freedom
to select the kind of install you want, after
paying the price of admission (whatever that
happens to be, considering there are free
and paid ways to get there).

Have fun,
Paul
