XP SP2 doesnt recognize 150GB HARD DRIVE
After i've played with the cables i've finally had windows to see the drive in Computer Management. I have the following: Disk 0 - Basic 40 GB Online - 40 GB NTFS Healthy (system) Disk 1 -Basic 150GB Online -150GB Unallocated And the CD-Rom. Si i'm one step closer ... now.. how do i make windows see the drive without formatting it... there is no way i will format the drive. I have the HDD full of data tho. All that i did was that i reinstalled windows on the 40 GB HDD, also last time i reinstalled windows i formatted the HDD with Data Lifeguard so windows can see it. Thanks for the input so far One more thing to note, i have a friend that has XP SP2 from the same CD as mine, and he sees the HDD with no problems in Windows. He has an older mobo and an older version of BIOS. -- AngEviL |
