Probably on floppies because my old 486 didn't have CD drive. PB Nav 2.0 was designed for Win 3.11 and had the kidspace and lot of games including skifree, rodent's revenge, rattler race and other classics. Later versions written for 95 (3.0 / 3.5 / 3.9) came with a separate CD. Don't have it anymore sorry My 486 seems to be the Packard Bell Legend 5 as far as i know. It was manufactured with 3 or 4 floppies. |

All the end user would receive was a pre-installed copy on the hard drive and a system restore CD with PB Navigator as part of the restore image. This, combined with the fact that most people considered PB Navigator useless and a huge waste of space (the included tutorials were huge for their time), it is no wonder it was so hard to find someone with a copy. . Version 3.5 is an extension of earlier 1.x and 2.x versions that only used screens of buttons. My 486 seems to be the Packard Bell Legend 5 as far as i know. It was manufactured with 3 or 4 floppies. Don't have it anymore sorry |

My 170369 cd has navigator 3.5 Could you send me the 1.1 version, maybe I could use it to repair the legend 402. I'm not sure what nav version is on the original HD of the d1000 ( When I have time I'll stick the HD back in and try to identify it. mc "metronid" wrote in message ... Bill check please if you have 3.0 on your CD !- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - I am confused Did you not want 2.0 In any case BILL will check My 486 manufactured in 1994 Legend 10CD came with the floppies as image files for PBNAV When I installed it just now it said version 1.1 on my XP system I tried the one from 95 CD and windows XP will not allow Version 2.0 per packardbell.com says it is also a windows 311 program ------------------------------------ Navigator 2.x does not work on my Windows 95 system Situation I upgraded my system from Windows 3.x to Windows 95. Whenever I want to run Navigator 2.x it first wants to minimise the Program Manager (from Windows 3.x). The system will try this for about 10 times if it failed the first time. Eventually I get an error message. Can this be fixed? Details Windows 95 systems are shipped with Navigator 3.5. However if you upgraded to Windows 95 yourself, you could still have Navigator version 2.x. Solution Make sure the Program Manager is loaded before starting Navigator 2.x. The easiest way to do so is to edit the properties of the shortcut to Navigator: Click Start, then select Find Next click on Files or Folders... After Named type: NAVIGAT*.LNK If Look in contains the C: drive then click on Find Now For all the NAVIGATE.LNK or NAVIGATOR.LNK files do as follows: Click with the secondary mouse button on the file Select Properties followed by selecting the Shortcut tab Edit the Target to :C\WINDOWS\PROGMAN.EXE C:\PBNAV30\PBNEW \NAVIGATOR.EXE Click on OK to save the changes Repeat this process for all other shortcuts (LNK files) to Navigator ________________------------------------------- So i am assuming it is on a unit past the version 1.1 and past master CD 170210 and before 170991 which you Willy said was 3.0 per a previous transcription. Bill good luck If it is on CD then you have the best catalogue |

BILL -Check Master CD
So the good version maybe 3.0 as described in this article :
http://toastytech.com/guis/pbnav35.html It's the only version where we can see a "Hallway". |
