Default Best software for high qualifty

I apologize if this is a question asked way too much but-- what is the
best webcam software?

I have a Logitech Quickcam Fusion, so it can do 640x480, 30 frames per
second. But I haven't been able to find any software that can reliably
transmit this, despite the fact that I have plenty of bandwidth.

Yahoo messenger and Windows Live messenger don't seem to be able to do
very high quality video. It's slower frame rate and a smaller image
window.

I had Skype working for a while, and it was great, but it broke, and I
haven't had any luck getting it to work again.

Any suggestions? Being free is a plus, but not essential.

You can use H264WebCamPro 2.01, 16-channel h264 remote video camera
surveillance software for Windows. This software has unique H264 User
Name mode to manage dynamic ip address on internet. Very useful to ADSL
or other dynamic ip surveillance system.

Now for the usual difficult question. Can four identical USB
webcams that use the same WDM driver be used/displayed at the
same time using your software?
