I have a desktop (SP home) with a Lite-on LDW-811S that has been in use for nine months now. Have burned about 50 dvds and maybe 100 CDs with only one coaster. jimbo wrote: I need suggestions for a DVD Burner/CD Burner for my desktop PC, running Windows XP Home.I want an internal model that will fit inside my standard tower case. jimbo |

I think there are different colors available, also. I like this one as it comes with software. There is a NEC 3500 model for roughly the same price. It is a 16X burner! No software, though. Be sure whatever you buy is dual layer, as opposed to simply dual ormat. -Dave http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...152-024&depa=0 |

I just got this one and love it. And a $30.00 rebate to boot. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...131-326&depa=1 |

I bought my drive before I realized this, but I would suggest looking for this new format. Here is one moderately priced: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...136-037&depa=1 |
