VHS tapes to DVD disk
I'm going to put together a computer for my brother, and he is asking if I
can add whatever it takes to allow him to copy old VHS tapes to a DVD disk. Is there a way to do that, and if so, what hardware and software would be needed? Thanks, Jack |

DVD authoring/burning software A FAST computer with two physical hard drives. The secondary drive will be for the sole purpose of video storage. The drives and mother board should be at least ATA66 compatible. The secondary drive should be at least a 60gig drive As far as editing the captured videos. ANy standard NLE will be fine. i.e. Adobe Premiere Pro or cheaper for example. I think some VCR's have firewire connectivity so thats were a DV capture card comes in real handy. DV is vastly easier for your computer to deal with than analog and the quality will be superior to analog. The earth will become a holy land which will be visited by pilgrims from all quarters of the universe." |
