dvd drive recognised as a removeable disk?!
I'm trying to use a new unbranded dvd drive in a 400Mhz dell base unit.
Win98 has recognised it as being there, but it thinks that its a removeable disk drive, occasionally it thinks its a harddrive, and sometimes it just wont recognise it at all. According to the device manager, the device type is 'yyyyyyyyyyyy'. Any ideas? Anyone? Thanks, Alex |

Usually better to put the unkndvddrv.sys in config.sys and autoexec.bat. |
