can't put in a second drive in XPS 630i
I have a Hitachi disk drive (SATA, deskstar, 3.5 in) but I can't put it in the drive bay in this computer. All the available bays has 2 screws that prevent the disk to slide in. The factory drive is Western Digital, this there an Hitachi size incompatible with the bay? Anyway, the manual indicates the system come with restore DVD, I don't have it. Any 630i owner has this problem? |

Your new disk drive might need partitioning and formatting. Right click on My Computer and select Manage (in XP). Can you see your new drive there? If so, you can partition it and format it by right clicking on the new drive and selecting the appropriate options. |
