IDE Channel problem
Hi,
Can anyone help with the following problem: I have installed: IDE Channel 0 Master - HDD - Samsung 20 GB XXXXX Slave - CD-ROM - Samsung SC-152B IDE Channel 1 Master - CD-RW - Lite On - LTR-841 Slave - None Jumper settings are all correct. Cable connection too. But... CD-RW won't write. Errors all over the place. Windows XP Pro (SP-1A) reports both CD-RW and HDD as Master on Channel 0 (CD-ROM/HDD hardware control panel properties page). Ahead Nero Infotool and IDE Controller Properties page correctly report hardware setup (Prim/Sec Master/Slave). Does anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it? (I've tried different set ups, but that didn't help, I'm thinking towards a software issue). Thanks! |
